Surveys/Polls/Quizzes

I chose to take a quiz on buzzfeed.com, called “This Fast Food Quiz Can Guess Your Actual Age”. I scored the age of 43, which is obviously inaccurate; I am 20 years old. I shared the link with five of my floor mates, and none of them got an age that was accurate. My roommate scored thirty-six years old. My friend Jordan took the quiz and scored 43 years old, the same score as me. His roommate, Jake, took the quiz for me as well and scored 36 years old too. At this point I started thinking that this quiz was poorly designed because four people have taken it so far and two of them received the same score. Then I had my other friend, Hunter, take the quiz and he proved me that there are more than two results possible. Hunter got 27 years old, which is not too far off from our age group. I feel that this quiz in particular had not enough questions in order to differentiate answers enough. When quizzes lack answers or everybody is getting the same score, it is not as entertaining because it lacks thrill. In order to improve this quiz, I would double the amount of questions (from five to ten), and create more answers. I have taken the quiz a plethora of times myself with different answers, after my initial attempt, and I have only scored 27, 36, or 43 years old.

  1. Number of people used to take survey, and the number of times you took it yourself provided a very good analysis of how inaccurate it was
